Pennsylvania drivers would probably say they do all they can to avoid a car crash. By nature, most crashes are unintentional. Many car accidents do not require much investigation, and the matter can be quickly resolved. Recently, an unusual accident that resulted in death has authorities suspecting the accident was intentional.
The investigation began after several Pennsylvania residents heard a loud noise. The frightening sound turned out to be a vehicle that had exploded. Three people in the car were killed, including a 2-year-old boy. All of the people in the vehicle knew each other, and one of the adult victims was the child’s father. The third victim is reportedly a family friend.
The authorities became suspicious after they could not find an obvious reason for the explosion. Though the tragedy could have been caused by some sort of vehicle malfunction, investigators were unable to find evidence of faulty equipment on the vehicle. The investigation is now looking for new evidence that may prove someone intentionally caused the accident. It is unclear at this time if the accident was caused to harm a specific victim or if it was a random crime.
Car accidents that result in loss of life and serious injury can be devastating to victims and their families. When an accident is caused by the negligent or criminal actions of another person, victims may want to make sure the responsible party is held accountable. An experienced attorney may be able to help victims deal with medical bills, funeral expenses and legal matters as families work through their grief privately.
